Meet Holly

Holly Matteson Pagon graduated from Parson’s School of Design in New York City in 1984. She started out in advertising, but quickly moved to publishing, first as a layout artist for Fortune, then as special issues Art Director for Sports Illustrated, as Art Director for the Olympics at CBS Sports and finally as the Creative Services Art Director for Sports Illustrated. She worked at five Olympics including Calgary and Seoul (1988), Albertville (1992), Lillehammer (1994) and Atlanta (1996).

In 1997, she left Sports Illustrated to start Matteson Design in Manhattan specializing in corporate identity, logo design, invitations and announcements. In 2002, she and her husband moved their family and her business to the outskirts of Philadelphia. As a result of having small children, she developed a talent for family photography and her business included many unique holiday cards.

Matteson Design became Matteson Pagon Design and Photography. She has always loved the camera and the incredible creativity it affords, especially in digital form. She has attended many photography workshops in New York, Florida and Maine and continues to improve her skills as a photographer and a graphic designer. She contributes as much time as she can to helping local non profit organizations such as Squashmarts, US Squash, Steppingstones Scholars, Project H.O. M.E., Hike for the Future, The Wellness Community, Siasconset Civic Association and The Sconset Trust. She contributed the invitation and signage design for a unique art show benefitting Convenant House of Philadelphia called ARTruist.

With her both children out in the working world, Holly is finding more time to work, travel and pursue her interests photography and design. With the launch of this website, she hopes to continue to help others realize their vision.
